An RSS Feed Aggregator or News Reader automatically polls, collects, and formats all new information it finds at a location that you subscribe to.

A common, free RSS News Reader that you can install on your computer is NetNewsWire for Mac from NewsGator. NewsGator also makes aggregators that work with Outlook or Windows Mobile, and offers widgets that you can install on your website. Below is a news widget that Newsgator generated:

Below, we use a simple PHP program to search for and present an online collection of feeds from remote sources (WIPO). This presentation is dynamic, so the content changes when the text from the feed is updated by WIPO.

If you need a website that is frequently updated with fresh content, but you do not have the dedicated manpower to create new content regularly, this is one possible solution. Tie into a syndicated feed with a Feed Aggregator on your site (of course, referencing content creators), and your website automatically presents new material everytime the feed is updated remotely.
