There seems to be much speculation, lately, about the demise of television because of the increasing popularity of mobile phone broadcasts and advertising over internet TV. With the faster internet speeds and the growing concentration of mobile phone and internet users, television watching is thought to be decreasing.
In a recent announcement, Google said that it has been testing video advertistising, particularly over mobiles services, to determine impact. Tests of mobile phone ads in Japan showed response rates similar to web ads.
